DJ Leanne the ‘GirlOnWax’ has been DJing since the early 90’s. She’s a solid contributor to Canada’s thriving DJ scene through her creation of Western Canada’s first DJ School, House Music Radio Shows and owner of 2 events companies: I Do Luv Wedding DJ’s & GirlOnWax Events. Leanne has spun alongside the best in the business: Kaskade, Deep Dish, Boy George Armand Van Helden & Mark Farina. The original GirlOnWax's musical repertoire is massive, from Lounge to House to Retro to Top 40 to an expansive playlist of Dance Remixes of all genres. DJ Leanne creates the ultimate musical environment, designed especially for you.

An innovator for DJ Education in Canada, DJ Leanne created Western Canada’s very first DJ School. She opened The Rhythm Institute in 2001-2008, which was featured on MuchMusic, MTV Canada, CTV, CBC, City TV, The Globe & Mail, BC Business Magazine, Vancouver Magazine, The Vancouver Sun, The Province, The Georgia Straight (cover story) & Elle Magazine Canada, to name a few. Leanne has now taught close to 1000 students. She’s brought her ‘DJ 101’ Curriculum & critically acclaimed teaching methods to several local DJ instructors & schools (including TRI & The School Of Mix) and is excited to announce the most exciting partnership to date: ‘DJ Leanne’s DJ 101’ @ the Tom Lee Music Academy.
