Electric Violinist: Suzka

Susie Mares AKA Suzka’s stage presence is incredible & her sound is awe-inspiring. She’s one of Canada’s most high-profile electric violinists, who’s performed with artists like Rza (Wu-Tang Clan), Maestro Fresh Wes &Chin Injeti, and has opened for such diverse artists as Strunz and Farah, The Supreme Beings of Leisure, The Sweatshop Union & Stabilo.

Suzka adapts to any musical environment, flawlessly performing a multitude of genres like Classical, Hip-Hop, House, Lounge, Afro Beat, Tribal & Electronica.

Shehas 15 years of classical training which began at age 5 at Vancouver Music Academy. She later studied in Hannover Germany at the Consortium and then Jazz/Blues @ Vancouver Community College with mentor Lache Cercel.

Suzka’s an international performer that feels: “My instrument allows me to have a wide range of expression and originality. I love collaborating with DJ's because I get to explore the freedom of improv and keep music fresh and interesting!”
